Sounds like a hellofa unit.
Looking forward to audio/video reviews

Oh and it's sounds great. I have heard the thing and wanted it right away!!!!!

There are so many attenuators on the market right now.. all promising the holy grail. Would love to see a shoot out with the top 5 + a simple old hotplate for comparison purposes. The effects loop built in is a great feature though, solves the problem of no effects on older amps. I mean, 100+ for a loop then install, this thing pays for itself if you add the functionality of the attentuator as well to bring the volume down.

Please indicate who gets to define the "top 5".

;)

I'd also say it's a big plus if you have a vintage amp and you need a loop, you don't have to modify it, thus keeping the resale value intact. I have the Badcat Unleash, which also has an effects loop like this one and it works great. The idea of a tube power amp has me interested in this one though. Decent price point too.

Good point.. I think it honestly would be by ease of purchase and price point. No more than 950$. I could see two notes, hotplate, this one, badcat attenuator, and maybe Rivera? What else is there.. Ultimate are ridiculously priced are they not?

Hmm *very* interesting. Kinda wish it was rack-mountable though.

edit: nevermind it says a rack-mountable kit will be available :D

That looks pretty badass. Pretty good price point too considering you are getting an attenuator with a built in 50 watt tube power amp to boot. I'm sure Mr. Fryette has done his homework, can't wait to see the results after it hits the market, I'm interested for sure.

Anyone get thier GP/DI's yet?

lol no. We don't even have a timeline on it.

But they are taking deposits on a new item? :dunno:

Guess the GP/DI money was used to fnd more than one project maybe?

This one has a specific shipping date though so idk.

Nothing against Fryette. I love their amps, have had two and still own one but I do not like putting deposits down for an item that is not on the shelf.

I'm actually more intrigued by the rivera rock crusher studio with the eq bands for speaker sim.. that to me sounds like an all in a box solution for varying needs of a basement studio warrior. An endorsement from Slash and other producers is pretty solid.

Nothing stopping anyone from adding any kind of eq you want in the loop of this one...... This does a lot more than attenuation.

Great idea but it has to sound good. I've bought many attenuators over the years and I think the Rivera unit is the only one that doesn't negatively effect the tone of my amps.

I think thats the ultimate complement .

Plus this is going to give my Roccaforte HG100 and Metropoulos 12,000 an effects loop.
