Yeah....I was a MTS freak....ask anyone...
It just got CRAZY EXPENSIVE!!! :aww:
Might roll back again one day....but ya never know. :D

Your infamous tone quest is one of the main reasons I jump on the MTS wagon back in 2010

Thanx again Dan, for your info on the HBE - still got mine (& a BE)and still love it for what it does (EVH)

:)

Well, I guess it's pretty simple...SLO! Now the question becomes - How much is a fair price for a SLO100? I've seen a lot of different numbers on Ebay and Craigs but am wondering in general, what would you guys think is fair? What abut mods? Depth mod worth it? What others?

Actually the HBE was one of the best tones I gotten....So many tones in that damn MTS!!
The Pete modded 1086....Jadedfaith modded Ultra XL.....Friedman modded HBE and Brahma....
man it was endless!!
I just couldnt keep going once Salvation started out....but I did have his Custom 3 module.

Salvation and Jaded Faith have really kicked it up a notch this
past year - go figure some killer MTS mods are finally available from these guys and Randall goes ahead and drops the entire MTS line

could be why Matt's lookin at getting a slo ?

My personal recommendation is the Surreal Atomica (AKA). So insanely versatile and it doesn't lack quality wise. I couldn't be happier with mine. I also don't think you should overlook the JVM. Definitely a good solid choice in my opinion, and I am not just saying that because I am going to be selling one this week. It's one of my favorite amps.

Nah....I'm still in the MTS game...The SLO will be for my own personal use while the MTS stuff is mostly for studio work...Although I am hearing of dwindling stock modules and hoping Bruce fills that gap....

I think the Salvation Salvado does the SLO thing really well. The JVM and mesa are different. I had a JVM 205H and while I could get some of the MTS stuff to to do the Marshall OD, they couldn't touch the clean channel. The 410H would be even better. OD 1 Orange is fantastic on that amp.

The mesa has 4 channels, its ab;e to switch between tubes on the fly and can go from clean to gnarly. If I already had the Salvado (you've got one, right?) I'd check out the Mesa.

However, If you dig the SLO sound, I'd check out a Decatone for versatility.

Out of those 3 I would go with the jvm, then slo second. Tone wise the jvm has the Marshall/British tones that is a must for me. The slo has a better build quality though but tone is what's most important. Every time I play a Soldano I always Like the levels of gain on tap but I miss the Marshall voicing. The Mesa is basically a gimmick amp to me, it does a lot of tricks but none are great, though I am not a Mesa fan.
