Damn I love my Taylor Limited Fall Edition 2009 Cocobolo with Koa trim!!! Its possibly one of the most well rounded acoustics I have ever played in my life, and even in every spectrum. I will never part with it, and I should put pics up but Im too damn lazy!!! Anyone else notice that guitars made with Cocobolo are a cheaper alternative to Brazilian rosewood and sound about the damn same? I know not alot of you guys are too interested in acoustics, but I thought I should share. I have had this thing for a year and love it everytime I play it!!!

I too love the acoustic! A big fan of Cocobolo and Koa here. That's a great guitar you've got.

Man Im tellin ya!!! I wish I could describe it, but its put my search for acoustics to an end! I only now need a beat around acoustic to take to the sand box with me for a year, I will truly miss this guitar during that time!!!

Oh don't worry, the guitar will be even better when you get back

Feel free to send it to me while you're gone. I'll keep 'er warm for ya

Pontiac, about 2 hours south of Chicago. 30 min. from Bloomington/Normal, if your familiar with it.

Nah, Im not really all that familar with that area... I live just on the east side of St. Louis in Illinois.

Oh wow, ok! I used to go down that way and meet up with Sgt. Thrump and Japetus in Waterloo.

I'd love to set up an Illinois Ampfest again. We've got quite a few guys from Illinois on the boards now. If I can get enough interest, I'll set something up.

That will be killer when I am back in Illinois finally!!! I dont have great chops, but I would love to hear people play and help dial in the amps to compare... I will bring by my herbert, and 2 channel dual rec, and meathead when I finally get one!

I'll get on it then  When do you get back?

I have Cocobolo grips on my Springfield 1911 and have great acoustics also. :D

Oh its gonna be a lil while yet!!! Dont count me in for at least another year and a half. I wish I could make it home sooner.

DAYUM!!! That is one SICK looking neck!!! I would be afraid to custom order a guitar from that guy and have it take 4 years to get... why such a long wait? Are the guitars he builds really worth their wait? How do they compare to other boutique guitars?

Well, he's very picky with details, he doesn't charge enough for his work, so he got overloaded with orders. He builds 100% custom, whatever you want. The guitar arrives this week ....

Here ya go. Sorry about the crappy iPhone pics. 1911-A1 Springfield, Grips look much better in person. In the back ground is a DPMS AR15 with my S&W M&P Tactical upper that I just finished the other day. Below that is a 57upper (P90 upper for an AR lower) on my S&W Lower, FNH 57 Hangun and Springfield XD Tactical in 45 cal.

DPMS AR15 : Magpul fore grip, Magpul MBUS flip up sights, Eotech 512, Laserlyte K-15 Green laser, Surefire G2 80 lumens, Mako Magwell grip, Magpul rail gaurds, Magpul trigger gaurd, Magpul grip, Tapco T6 stock, BDS single point sling, Harris Bipod. All Magpul was done in FDE Dark Earth or Black and Tan :D
