Actually, the 44 Magnum is my main amplifier in my current band, until I find what I really need.

I am sending mine back today. I like it well enough but I don't really have a need for it since the AMT S1 I was using with it didn't work out. I would buy another on the used market though just to have around.

When set to be as loud as it can be without power amp saturation can it hang with a drummer?

It's alright, and more than loud enough to hang with a drummer. I play with it at practice somewhere between 9 and 10 o'clock, before it really starts to get flubby, which it does at about noon. It can't hang with 'regular' poweramps but for something that I can toss in my bag and go, I'm really not complaining. I've been going through all kinds of distortion pedals with it to find what works for my sound, but so far, I haven't really found the right fit. I'm going to be hanging onto it for awhile, if not as a main rig, as something that's loads of fun to mess around with.
