Bloodrock

Well-known member
Just listened to their first EP. They're like Tesla meets Black Crowes, meets Aerosmith.

Ive been hearing this at the gym lately... I thought it was tesla at first

You can hear a definite AC/DC influence there. Even the singer sounds like Bon Scott. Also Led Zeppelin and G'nR.

:m17:

Love it! Reminds me a bit of a more hard rock Rival Sons too.

That is what I was thinking too.

Sounds like Mark Slaughter at first. Then a bit more like Jeff Keith. Good swanky, bluesy vibe.

It’s good, but this sound has been done 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 times.

+1 and I would take this over two thirds of the shit on the radio.

This is good no matter how many times you do it! All the hopefuls that are reinventing the wheel, post it or shut it!! Its good to hear good writing and actual vocals and not rap crap or screaming past the point of pronunciation

Am i the only one getting a Jackyl trip here?
Hear a hint of Jackyl in his vocals but also more versatile. Music was arranged quite differently as well. Who knows maybe a flash in the pan, sounds good to me tho, unlike the massive modern country wave and Rival Sons.. I cant handle much else new regardless of what it may sound like. If looking for a comparison to not like something itd have to be flooding the market and as we all know rock music is sucking hind tit right now!

Very cool that your gym plays this kind of stuff

Opening for Alter Bridge on their U.S Walk the Sky tour... should be a good bill.

Yes the sound has been around a while, but you can say the same about every new metal band from the last 20 years as well.

Listened to the EP on Spotify , sounds pretty cool . I agree with most of the comparisons mentioned , I think they sound a little like Brother Cane too . Would like to hear a full album from these guys

Nah, “tu quoque” is the name of a particular logical fallacy, otherwise referred to as the “appeal to hypocrisy”. In other words, the fact that I’m a hypocrite who can’t invent a new sound does not refute the point that this is indeed an old sound that has been done thousands of times. The point still stands regardless of my hypocrisy.

Nonetheless, I agree that this is a fine example of hard rock n roll done right. Great guitar, great vocals! Well done!
