Cool New Gretsch: Billy Duffy Sig

The White Falcon has long been a favorite of mine just from its "cool" factor alone, nevermind the fact that they are great playing and sounding instruments in the right hands. When I first saw Billy Duffy using one in The Cult, it increased the cool factor even more in my eyes. Then the video for "Love Removal Machine" put it on my "must own someday" list...I was amazed at the raw aggressive tone he got from a big hollowbody (little did I know at the time that he actually used a Les Paul for the recording).

Nice to see that after all of these years Gretsch has finally given him his own sig version of this iconic instrument.

Yeah, not as gaudy looking as a regular White Falcon...I'm really digging the chrome hardware and silver-sparkle binding as opposed to the traditional gold.

I'm really digging the binding on the neck aswell.

That guitar makes me...suit up.
 
Love Duffy with his Gretsch and really wanted one. Then I found out most of my fave songs of the cult are on his LP. Still a cool guitar.
 
Cool guitar, always loved Billy's Gretsch sound, most prominent on the Love album.

I agree completely with all of the above! That's the way the White Falcon should've looked from the get go!
 
Billy has a great sound and the white falcon always looked and sounded so cool! I would have rather they did it with more of a slightly aged white/cream finish , the nickel finish looks cool also. I want to try one out.
