R.I.P. Brad Delp ! I just don't think there will ever be another band like them. They came in under the radar, recorded the first album in Tom's basement when there was NO home studio stuff, and you actually had to know your stuff recording, it was the right time, and they were the whole package. Nobody does backups like that today. I still listen to that album today. I actually tried one of Tom's heads when they came out, I wanted to like it, but it was too solid state sounding. The guy is still a genius in my book. Last time I saw them, Tom had a huge brace on his leg. Was kinda like watching capitan hook rocking out with a Les Paul! - thanks ML - Jim

Awesome band..I saw then in the 90's live and like JT said..Tom had a brace. I have heard so much crap about Tom..I guess he was a major dick to work with.

these guys came out just before Van Halen, what a guitar sound, you can thank tom sholtz, and what a vocal sound, you can also thank Tom, , just like VH and def leppard, from the first note you knew who it was

Delp sure does have control over his voice. The way he slips and slides into falsetto is pretty cool. He certainly was a one-of-a-kind.

another great late 70's band.their 1st album is "golden" in rock history,imo...btw,i've got the WHOLE concert from this Giants Stadium gig...great stuff, mang!

While I think Boston is ok, I would hardly say that no one does good backup vocals anymore.

Dark New Day kill vocally live, and so do a hand full of other bands.

I only said noone is doing them like that, did not say there were no good b-ups period now. I understand the connection though
