Cool Andy Timmons rundown. Was digging the white guitar he picked up and then looked it up and saw it was $1299. I'm like, not bad for a quality Japanese Ibanez. Then I see the pic of the back of the headstock where it says Indonesia. Fucking Indonesia and $1299. For a fucking bolt on neck guitar. Was pretty flabbergasted. He also plays a sweet Talman styled like a Butterscotch tele. The Prestige Japanese version is the same price as the Indonesian white AT10.

What an insanely good player he is. Scary how he just runs so much stuff off that's super tasty and he's pretty much on auto pilot while doing it.

Look for the dude who walks by with his guitar towards the very end. You might recognize him.

Ibanez has been putting a lot of Indonesian guitars out under the guise of their "Premium" line. Personally I wouldn't ever play an Ibanez that wasn't Japanese or USA, call me a purist or Ibanez "corksniffer", but I just can't justify that price point when guitars from Indonesia can be hit or miss.

It's crazy the tone Andy gets out of his guitar, if you were blindfolded you'd guess it's a really nice strat. And that's Uli in the background?

Even Vai knows Andy Timmons chops are too insane to ignore

Hehe, my band opened for Uli in SF recently. Interesting dude. Loud ass set. Killer guitarist.

Very cool! John seems to have a bad case of 'bed head' here.

He gets such great clean and semi-clean tones. Great player.

I actually pulled the trigger on one of the andy timmons premium models and it quickly became my number one. My suhr modern satin and prs cu22 barely get touched anymore. I was hesitant to make the purchase originally because I had owned a few of the premium models in the past. None of them did anything for me. But I went to the Ibanezrules.com store/home and played the premium Timmons model and was blown away. He actually had the Japanese model and we compare them side-by-side. To be honest, there is very little difference between the two.

Again, I have never been a fan of any of the premium models but this signature model is just amazing. It is truly inspiring and I never had such a fun time playing the guitar before.

Yeah... I refuse to pay $1200 for an Indonesian made axe. As a matter of fact, I've been not so impressed with newest MIJ Ibanez axes I've played recently. They need to step up their game.

I remember getting to play his Japanese signature model one time and feeling really underwhelmed about it. Considering it was well over $2,000 I expected it to play like butter but no better than any mid-level Ibanez I've ever played. Their Prestige RG's seem a lot nicer. He sure makes it sound good though.

Only thing worse than a $1200 Ibanez is a $2200 Ibanez ...
