Looking for copper finished tuners?

Has anyone ever taken a schaller tuner key button and refinished it to be a different color? I have a set of black schallers I could sand down I guess and repaint if it would come out OK.

Any advice?

Rustoleum makes a pretty good metallic copper spray paint. I'd definitely clean & scuff the buttons prior to paint & also apply a clear coat.

Do some tests prior to gettin after it to make sure you like the color.

Home Depot probably has that in stock.

Link's for a six pack but you get the idea.

If you go this route you should probably use a primer that is a bonder. Something like UMA or XIM at the very least.
