For those Kemper users who may be interested, I posted a 2 x profiles of my RK100 on the Kemper Rig Exchange. I'm totally new at this, so go-easy... :) If you have any ideas for improvements, please let me know what you recommend, and I will make some new profiles. I tried to reach a good mid-point in terms of the EQ so that you can make adjustments as you see fit... One profile was done with a Rivera RC with the RK100 MV at 12:00 noon. The other was done using a variac set at 110VAC, with additional tweaks to the Kemper power amp section. I will never vote on my own profiles, so ratings are from those who have downloaded and used the profile.

A real RK is on my short list of amps to get....
Dont have a kemper but im sure somebody will do a nice soundcloud demo for us to hear... Nudge nudge =)

The Kemper captured the RK100 accurately to my ears. The real thing sounds better of-course, but I'm hoping Kemper owners will enjoy them for what they are. Find someone with a KPA, and see what you think... Better you play them vs listing to my awful playing...

I sent the Kemper back today for a refund before my 30 days were up. After deleting all of the rigs that I wouldn't use, I was left with 10 profiles... Cornford RK100 ;) , Bogner XTC and Uberschall (black), Diezel Schmidt, Mojave Peacemaker and Coyote, Marshall Jubilee, and a few others. The Kemper is a great piece gear, but I prefer my tube rigs. I'm going with either a Rivera RC Recording into my 2290, or possibly into a Two-Notes CAB from my standard Rivera RC.

I'm curious to hear more about why you ended up returning it. Did it not capture many amps well enough? You found that the amps you have are the tones you actually want? Inquiring minds want to know! :)

I almost bit on a Kemper, but instead have a TNTL on order. It's cheaper and I like the tone of my amps. Still intrigued by the Kemper though.

On vacation in Maui. I will give this some play when I get home next week.

I don't have a bad thing to say about the Kemper. You need to play through one for a few days, and then decide if it's something that is going to work for you. There are some good sounding profiles on the Kemper Rig Exchange, but you have to sift through a lot of dirt to get the gold.

Great job on these profiles! Definitely gonna find a place in my favorites.

Sorry to hear you sent it back. I was looking forward to more profiles from you. :)

Thanks! :) Both of those profiles are non-attenuated with the preamp set to about 70%.

A recent post from the Kemper Rig Exchange...

"I was capturing a profile using a room mic not too long ago. My dog went on a barking binge and guess what... there was "arf, arf, arf, arf" in what should have been the silent part of the profile!"
