They look beyond awesome.

Gat damn, that gave me an erection lasting moar than 4 hours.

Gorgeous work. Wowzers.

If it plays half as good as it looks, you've got one of the best guitars out there :)

I wish it was mine. The night I was going to go check it out and play it was the day the guy that bought it just came over to look at it and ended up buying it, I've played other guitars he's made though and they play awesome. he's kind of a freak when it come to every detail.

I'm going over to his house and take some pics of some wood he has for tops later today and I'll post the pics later.

This guy's done some pretty sweet wood work man!! Jaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayzeus!! Beauty axes!!

Sooooooooooo, what's the deal with him? He's kind of a Les Paul fanatic that hates Gibson as a company or something? Just wondering, cuz it seems there's an obsessive love in the work he does with those guitars!!

Peace,
V.

No he's really the opposite, he loves Gibson's and a lot of the other arch top type guitars but he loves the old ones that were made by people that gave a shit to quality and the worksmanship to making a nice guitar. I love to look at guitars with him because he points out the shortcuts Gibson and other companies do or the imperfections they let get out the door that he would never do, I've taken guitars to him to ask how good they are built and he's honest about them. He's never told me dont buy that one let me make you one he just really gives a shit about how the guitar is made and he's an ANAL freak in what he makes. He wont overlook the little shit that other people will. I know this sounds like a huge advertisement for him and I promise thats not what I was doing in posting the pics. He's just a good friend of mine and a great guy and I wanted to show off his work!!!!

Giga

In this case it would mean that this particular luthier could place the "Gibson" logo on the headstock so that external people (audience) believe it is the real deal.

Many artists and professionals "ghost build" their guitars with private luthiers.

Example: You could have a 59' "Gibson" Les Paul replicated.

I certainly don't construe your props for this cat's work as an advertisement... I think from the photos, his work speaks for itself.

Cool!

I had heard of guys like Billy Gibbons playing guitars that said Gibson on them but they were "Gost Builds" I had never heard that term either.
