I was hoping for the 10 year max.
Link no worky

I read it. There is already an appeal. The venue was deemed responsible. Kid should have never been on the stage.

Unlikely since the state attorney was only seeking the 5 year minimum.

The lesson to learn here kids is don't burst through security, climb onto a stage during a metal concert, run at one of the band members in a hostile fashion, and you won't get thrown to the ground.
I have no sympathy for the deceased. He made incredibly stupid decisions that put him where he is.

Excatly! Remember that time Dec 8, 2004? Fact is we don't know if someone is there to hug you of kill you. And guess what, if i'm gambling with a life it won't be mine. Cheers, Lucius

I'm suprised that no one stated the obvious yet. FALLON SUCKS. He's much better as stumping for a credit card co. than he is at late night television.
um... next door down. Cheers, Lucius

Here's a special dedication - just for you!

I'm glad he got off. I don't think he was at fault at all

I meant to say the maximum sentence. Thank you for the correction.

Ok, but can someone make it illegal for him to take vocal duties of any band.

Randy does come off as a tool box from what I have seen. Didn't he get his panties in a bunch when drunken kids at a metal show wanted no part of a moment of silence after sandy hook? That seems about as likely as a circle pit breaking out during Sunday service at the local church.

"Just wow" about what? Some dipshit wins a darwin award for doing dipshit stuff and I'm supposed to send flowers or something? He wasn't attacked or set upon by bandits while minding his own business. He was somewhere he wasn't supposed to be, doing stupid shit he shouldn't have done, and if he had the coordination God gave a baby giraffe he probably wouldn't have landed on his head. Fuck him and anyone as stupid as he was.

Good, I'm glad, Randy really is a nice guy, one of the nicest "rock stars" I've ever met, down to earth, mellow guy. doesn't matter what you guys think of his on stage antics, he really is a genuinely cool guy. How many other "rock stars" would've had the balls to go face this kind of thing? most would've ran and hid like cowards.

The last time I saw them, some douchebag ran up on stage 3 times, Mark Morton was PISSED, and from my vantage point could see everything that went down, Mark screamed at their security guy and told him "one more fucking time and your fired!" After what they have been through with this and what happened to Dimebag, I don't blame him at all, I'd have been pissed too.

Regardless, glad for Randy, from the footage I saw, and everything I read, it wasn't his fault at all.

I've been to hundreds of shows since my first show in 1976. Throughout the years I've witnessed dozens of people jump on-stage, and in no instance did I ever witness a band member (or security) push anyone off of the stage. In one such show circa 1977, Cheap Trick and Peter Frampton had kids jumping up on-stage throughout their entire set. Security responded with minimal force by escorting each one of them stage in a civilized manner. If a fan is acting in a threatening manner, then of-course extreme action is warranted. This however was not the case. Pushing a fan off the stage because you "don't tolerate fans on the stage" does not warrant such a violent response. In the 70's and 80's, concert goes looked out for each other... This is obviously not the attitude amongst the nu-metal genre of concert goers. This kid (regardless of who says he deserved it) did not deserve to lose his life because he jumped up on a stage! I'm sorry - but jumping on the stage is a rock-and-roll tradition! What this a--hole did was pure Nazi bullsh!t!

Expressing sympathy and treating others with humane courtesy... Now there's a concept.

Of course not. It was all an unfortunate event. Horrible for all involved.
