I am waiting on a delivery of a bogner cube but the vendor has it on backorder until the 15th. So I found a craptastic 1X12 crate cab from the 90's in almost new condition on CL to get me by. I got it home pulled the back off of it and it has a speaker from an old Lab series cab from the 70's and it sounds like Ass. I ordered a WGS ET65 from MF for 69 bucks free shipping and no tax weekend. My question is the diminsions of this cab seems odd by modern day cabs. the dims are 9.5" deep X 24" wide X 16" high. most cabs at a minimum are 10" deep the other 2 dims are ok just the depth seems odd. Would it be best to make this an open back cab or use insulation in it or what? Any guys modify there cabs around here?

The ET65 is a great speaker. As far as the cab goes, I go with closed back pretty much all the time. The type of music you play could make you decide on another option.

It sounds like this will be a temp cab for you anyway so try it anyway you see fit. The Bogner will probably kick it to the curb shortly anyway.
