They are also called to pray for their leaders. 1 Timothy is clear on this which is why in orthodox divine liturgy we pray for our authorities and armed of forces as a matter of routine. If you are a christian and are cursing your authorities because you don't like their policy, you aren't fixing anything but are just a part of the greater societal decay.
