Here's a blind test between the Soldano SLO100 and its Kemper profile.
This time it's crunch sounds and I'm also trying to show you how either amp reacts to the guitar's volume pot and to being hit with an overdrive.

Pt.2 "Revelation" will be posted next week, so make sure to subscribe if you don't wanna miss it.

thanks

A Soldano

B Kemper

Whatever A might be, it sounds a lot better. Usually i find the Kemper gives itself away because the low end is fizzier and the tone sounds more tubby overall. Not to say it would matter but back to back I know I usually go real amp.

I'm thinking A is the Kemper and I'm 90% sure.
I've done these A/B things a lot in the past. The Kemper has a hi fi sheen on it which makes it actually smidge better than the real deal, sounding almost production ready.
I'm actually surprised the tones aren;t a bit closer though, there's a lot of differences in the character which can usually get minimized even more with the refining stage.
Love Lasse's tones and either way either tone would work here. Damn, I may need another Kemper, lol

Interested to hear the results
A sounds better by a long shot.

To me A sounds like the Kemper. And is it just me or is the guitar out of tune? Not trying to be hypercritical, Lasse I love your videos.

Just listened again , I think A is the Kemper.

Both handle the boost well
With the boost on A it's more controlled sounding than B

With the volume rolled down
B seemed to get muddy
A seemed to retain more treble/ clarity.
Both cleaned up nicely.

In general ,
A Has more low mids.
B Has more knarky upper treble harshness that I don't like.

Both are usable.

I also hear an extended low end and less richness in the mids in B. I have no idea which is which. I liked A better though, especially not boosted. Once boosted they were closer.

Clip A sounds like the real deal for me. It sounds more 3D for me.

They sound close enough to me that I think the difference would be awash in a mix.

Sweet guitar, by the way.

No kidding, let's go on the answer here. Don't leave us hanging.

Having not played either, initially I thought A sounded more tube like, B sounded like it was boosted or fizzier. At first go through, I liked A better, but on second pass, B sounds like it would be more fun to play; greasier and more sag.
