anyone know where to get custom amp headshells made of fine woods in the USA?

there is a thread with an uberschall in a wooden shell and there is a pic of some nice maple roccafortes below. something like these. I am having a hard time finding guys that do this.

should i just be looking for woodworkers and bringing the dimensions with me?

WOW!! Those are beautiful!! Love em all but the blue is insane!! If you know of a good carpenter they would be able to build you anything you wanted once you give him the measurements. Make sure they are very skilled though because wood like you see on those shells is very spendy! Beautiful flames in it!

Dude that is exactly what I am looking for just blue! PM'd

good point, but the finish is tough as hell you wouldnt have to worry about it, tolex rips and tears this is hard to even scratch(conversion varnish)

Im waiting on my thickness planner and a guy I know has a 5,000 sq foot basement with Walnut planks, when finished looks like a mix of cherry and Walnut, looks beautiful. My buddy and I do alot of that kind of detailed work, just hard to make a living off of it. We have a leigh dove tail jig with cool patterns like bear paws, random size dove tails, Mission style dove tails etc.

Im going to do my Mesa Mk III head if I can get some of that walnut. :gethim:

yeah definatley wont pay the bills , I just do it for fun..
