So I usually like to try out gear before I buy, but I am thinking about having an oversized 212 cab built for me by Saxon cabs here in Canada. http://www.saxon-cabs.ca/cabs12.html
I am looking at the OS 212 28" x 22" x 12" closed back vertical with the whole baffle slanted back a bit so the the top is 2" narrower than the bottom. I think this will be a great cab for my 5150 III mini to sit on top of since it is 22" wide when vertical the 5150 III is 20". I am looking at $375 unloaded tax in to my door.
Saxon cabs are built with 5/8" baltic birch shell with dovetail joints, 1/2" baltic birch baffle, and back. I will load it with my Jensen Electric lightning, and Scholz classic speakers, or eventually two Jensens, those speakers kick some major ass!!!!
I have been thinking about this, or a PRS SE212 (30" x 19" x 13" loaded for about the same), or finding a good used 412 for around the same, or a bit more. I just play at home for now, but I am planning on starting a band once I am done moving in the next few months.
Any advice, or thoughts from the rig talk community??
