So I have decided that instead of buying a guitar, I am going to get a few things I have been wanting.

First is a custom road case for the Kemper and remote. Here is what I spec'd out:

Got a quote of $400 for a rolling case, heavy duty hardware and 3/8" ply with laminate. Not sure of that is a good price or not to be honest but I am hauling $2400 of small electronics in a damn scrapbooking rolling cart and want something more durable that'll hold everything. Any recommendations on case builders? I only reached out to http://www.roadcasesusa.com so far.

The spaces are designed for the Remote and toaster to drop into with a lift-off lid. Retractable handle and casters like a carry on bag.

Open to suggestions.

That seems like a good price. I've used Kent Custom cases and Affordable Cases. Just remember...it will be heavier than you think.

If you haven't had a heavy duty road case before dorm underestimate how unwieldy and heavy they can be even at small sizes

I have had heavy cases so the weight isn't a concern as much as protection. I have a good gear cart for heavy hauling. I have had some folks recommend the Pelican style cases with the pluck foam. None of the Kemper units or remotes are more than a couple of pounds. That may be a good option too.

Not very heavy duty but I bought this case from Harbor Freight for like $25 and it fits the Kemper perfectly, with enough space for a tray for cords etc.. on top.

Do it. If you are gonna haul it around, protect it well. Pelican stuff is great if you are not going the traditional road/flight case route, and it's more waterproof.

Someone else recommended the Pelican stuff as well. Seems like the foam is really easy to shape to your gear.

If you can afford the pelican stuff, do it. Bad ass cases with great warranty and customer service. Be aware that a small fancy case is more apt to "walk away". Get it in a bright color that can't be missed.

Looked at all the Pelican cases and nothing that is getting me a "one case solution" but my boys at Classic Cases in FL have me set. Good price and I have had them do a few cases for me some time ago. Very excited to get this done.
