This thing has way exceeded my expectations. Should have gotten my hands on one of these years ago. Sorry for the ranting but I'm that impressed with this guitar.

Washburn makes some incredible guitars. I still don't understand why the company doesn't get much buzz.

Great looking guitar!

Looks nice! I've always wanted to try one. How do you like the Bill Lawrence (??) bridge PU??

Thanks Tony. When I used to work at a tiny music store I got to play one of these. http://www.washburn.com/products/electr ... wi568.aspx It was my favorite guitar in the store. We also had a few Les Pauls including a 59 reissue and I much preferred this washburn. I ended up selling it to a doctor that was considering the 59 and PRSs. I told him if he wanted a guitar with solid resale get the PRS or the 59 LP. I then told him if he wanted an incredible looking, playing and sounding guitar... couldn't do much better than the Washburn.

I had a Dean ML with the Dimebucker which is based off of this pickup. I liked the aggressiveness of that pickup and figured I would like this one. Well this guitar is ash so it's different than the Dean but yeah... still VERY aggressive tone. The SD59 in the neck is nice fat and warm. Sweet axe guys I'm telling you. Get out and atleast try these guitars out. Not the cheap N2s. Try the N4.

Yup.

I have owned a few of their USA custom shop guitars. You can pick them up cheap used and they are stellar guitars IMHO.

Definitely worth a trip to the music store.

The N4 is the bomb...I tweaked the action on mine...still could go lower tho'..dunno if it's a scale thing but the tension seems high so I want lower action.....intonation is whack at the moment...I'll get round to fixing one day :D

Last week was a good tone week, tweaking my N4, new(ish) EL34Ms and this:

Killer guitar. Something about the way those nuno's feel just make you want to RIP on them!!! I borrowed my buddy's N4 for a week or so, and couldn't put it down.

something about that headstock makes me want to stretch industrial bungee between 2 trees and hook the guitar on and launch it for distance

Glad that youre diggin it my friend!!
