 According to Gary Moore, Randy (post audition) had decided against accepting the invitation to join Ozzy. Gary advised Randy to give it a couple of years, that it would be a great experience for him. Ozzy wanted Gary something fierce, but Gary refused multiple offers by the Arden camp. I believe Gary was working on his G-Force band at the time. Gary wouldn't join the band, but he agreed to help Ozzy with auditioning musicians for his band. From what I was told, Don Arden was very much involved in the process. Sharon claimed that she had been estranged from her father... Apparently, this was not the case. Prior to the official release of the first album, Don Arden tried to hire Tommy Aldridge to supplement his drum skills for what Lee had played... Tommy refused the offer, and advised Don Arden to leave the original tracks intact.

Joining-up with Ozzy was (obviously) the worst thing that ever happened to Randy Rhoads, and Rachel Youngblood. The fuck of it is, is that disaster never should have happened. Ritchie Blackmore literally kicked Andrew Aycock off his tour bus (as the driver), because he sensed that Aycock was a bad seed. Aycock had already killed someone in the UAE while piloting a helicopter. His pilots license had been revoked at the time of the crash.
