I'm not trying to cheap out, but it's getting good reviews and it's only $30!

Anybody have any experience with them? Should I be looking elsewhere?

:gethim:

I've got one, no complaints here! Does exactly what it needs too, with no problems. I say go for it!

I got one and it's the best pedal for the money. It's very transparent and quieter than the GE-7.

Thats why everyone's saying Go For IT

Because im still useing 2 GE 7 Pedals in my Chain
but i dont have much trouble with them at all as long as i keep them Clean

so i Dont any Fish n Chip Pedals here
but im still looking at them as a back up unit

I gigged with a Surf N Turf compressor for about 5 years and my only gripe was worrying about how well it would hold up. The pot shafts were plastic and the knobs were quickly broken off.

I could still turn them with the tip of my finger but it only took one drunk chick to jump on stage and snap them both right off. For the price though, can't beat the tone quality.

Absolutely ! The Boss does something very strange to your tone

Giga

I have 2 of the Fish and chips EQ, they work very well. Bypass is solid, and they have been reliable. I used to have a Boss GE7 years ago and like the fish and chips EQ better.

I got one as a joke and like it better than the Boss GE-7. Less noise. Works great!

they're great, sold the Boss eq after i picked up the Danelectro, small footprint, not noisy or at least a hell of a lot less noisy than the boss , works great

i'm not sure how it'd take to being constantly stomped on and off, i leave mine on all the time within a loop, but for the money can't be beat

Sorry to bump an old thread! I was looking at getting 2 Danelectro Fish and Chips 7 band EQ pedals, 1 for my Mesa Tremoverb head to run in the Effects Loop and the other one to run the same way on my Marshall Artist 3203 head, what do you guys think?

Go for it, they are nice pedals and if you don't like them you can sell them easily.

Yeah I swear by them. I know it's funny but for 20-30? Best eq pedal out there. I have a Boss and I think when you use it, don't bump the frequencies too much...just a little movement changes things a lot. With the Danelectro you have a very transparent but effective pedal. And it's cheap..

Love mine. I throw that thing around a lot, since i only use it for certain projects.

The Fish n Chips I bought sounded great, but failed mechanically. So I'm leery of spending the money again, as little as it is, when I think I could spend a bit more and get something I trust with better reliability.

There is one plugged in the loop of my buddy's 6505+ right now and it actually kept him from flipping that amp. It did something for that amp that literally 15+ different ODs couldn't.
