Darkglass Noisegate ?

So, I stumbled upon this a couple minutes ago: "Darkglass Electronics has announced the NSG Noise Gate pedal, a noise suppressor designed for bass, guitar and any signal chain ..."

What's the deal ? Anyone with some experience with this one ? I know it's designed for bass players, but what if it's good for guitarists too ?
