Dave is going to build me one... been wanting one for years, but I thought he wasn't making them any more. I was wrong.

I'm getting the 50W version. Two channels, master volume, EL34 beast. Not sure about an effects loop... never really had a use for them, but I'll leave that up to Dave. The head cabinet pictured above are no longer available... the guy who made these originals couldn't be contacted. Mine will be black tolexed.

Tone? Think a cross between a modded Marshall JMP and Naylor SuperDrive 60... two of my favorite amps with more gain. I played one of the original prototypes, which is owned by John Shanks. What a beast!

Sweeeeeeeeeet!!!

I have yet to hear anything that Dave has worked on that didn't sound amazing.

Agreed 100%.

Dave's tonal work on 4 of my Randall MTS modules has been stellar. He's got a great ear.

He has my '79 JMP 2203 right now and is loading the two channel Naked circuit in it. I can't wait.

It comes with an effects loop.

Does anyone have clips of a Naked amp? I've always heard great things about them but no actual recordings of one ...

Watch this video. Billy is turned up way louder than Troy.
That sounds awesome. He's doing an Angry Hippie mod to a Marshall for me and that just made me jones a little more for it. Thanks  :D

I've had the Angry Hippie with KT88's in the power section. It's like an Uberschall-Marshall. It's crazy! The other channel is like a stock JMP. It's a badass circuit. You're going to enjoy it!

I was gonna say, "Billy Howerdel fan, huh?"

Yes, I am. I even have the 1994 Cinnamon Burst Classic 1960RI with an Anderson H3+ in the bridge and an H1- in the neck.

I've owned a bunch of Naylor Superdrive 60 amps as well. I love them. I just sold one here recently, but I will own another one by the end of the year. After I get the Naked-JMP back, I'm either going to get Dave to do another JMP or get him to build me one from the ground up, like Tonefreak.

I've been talking to Dave through e-mail for over a year and just here recently was finally able to send him this JMP, which I bought in April of '07. I had the injury to my finger in June when I was first talking with him. Then, the shop I used to ship everything closed their doors in December. Luckily for me, The UPS Store just opened up near me, so I was able to sell some stuff and ship him my amp. I've been wanting one of these bad boys for 9 years! I can't wait and you will definitely hear from me after I get it. I may be able to put up some clips because some guys I know just opened up a recording studio here in this little, small town and the owners told me I could come in any time I want for free.

How much these Naked amps ? Is he out here in Southern California ? Like the N. Hollywood area.

Yes, he is in North Hollywood. $2500 for a 50 watt head and $3000 for a 100 watt head.

Yep... That's why I went back and provided the link to the live video because that particular song is very dry and it's live.

Dave is a great guy, he even offered to get the JMP himself & send me the modified ready amp. I'd get it right away if I knew I could use it in my little recording room. So far I'm not liking lowgain JMP recordings.
