I cant seem to find a gilmour rig diagram that I was trying to find. It was a huge layout and was in all black and white. Can anyone help me out?

That is the only place I ever use a ce-2. Also notice he does not use effects loops or amps that have them.

Gilmour is a huge influence to me so I am always interested with what and how he uses gear. I know he used TC 2290's in the past. Can you use them with a guitar level signal or must you use them with an effects loop?

Best to run the 2290 in a W/D rig, driven by a line level signal and to a power amp.

You will find very few artists that mess with an FX loop live.

Yep!!!

I hate effects loops. Never had any luck with them, no matter the amp. Plus I think it is useless to run a stereo effect in a mono effects loop, like a chorus or stereo delay.

Either you run the effects in front of the amp, or as you said take a line level signal via a load box from the amp's speaker output to drive the effects ("post"-amp), and then re-amplify the signal/s with a stereo poweramp, or just do BOTH!

Unless you have two power amps...hello.

1. Yes, the 2290 has guitar level and line level inputs.

2. The dry tone is awesome on the 2290. NO need for a W/D setup. Total overkill IMO.

Seriously, a preamp-->2290-->power amp = all the tone you'll ever need.
