He is without peers, his style and tones are just simply perfect for the songs, great writer and sings pretty damn great as well. THE strat go to guy for tone & feel in my opinion, works that guitar better than most anyone I've ever heard. In my top 3 for sure!
 
one of my all time faves for sure.

if any of you guys have netflix, they have the making of dark side of the moon available for streaming. awesome retrospective on quite possibly the best record ever produced (not to mention it reveals many little secrets hiding within the album)!
 
Live in Gdansk made me realize it's all in the hands. Gilmour plays a couple strats, tele, and a gretsch and they all sound like David Gilmour.
 
I love all sorts of different music and guitar players, but...
If I had to pick an all time favorite guitarist, it would be Gilmour without a doubt.
