DBX Over Easy Noise Gate?... or Noise Gate Recomendations?

Has anyone used one of these? they are selling for cheap, and I need a noise gate on the cheap so I'm contemplating picking one up? Any thoughts or words of wisdom would be much appreciated. I'm trying to get something decent for $50ish or less, being broke sux, so if u have any other recomendations please let me know? Thanks All :rock:
 
the half space ones? pretty cool. sublte ,,, one slider and one knob
 
Haven't tried those. In that $ range I like the MXR pedal.
 
Yeah its the half space, but i don't know anyone thats used it... I was really looking for half space hush II, or the MXR(white) or NS2. ideally I want 2 noise gates, but my budget blows lol.
 
yeah the silver one from what I've heard is a ton better than the red one. Does ur silver one suck any tone?

Well I think all noise gates do to a point. I used it simply for a little high end hiss. I never turned the threshold above about 11 o'clock and it helped a lot with out any real tone loss.
