So my buddy calls me over to check out his new toy. he was running his markIV and recto cab, and underneath, was this 112 vector cab. I remember when these came out, but never really see anyone using them. I have to say though, after he plugged in...holy shit, it's going to be hard to go back to NOT using one!!! That thing is INSANE!!! His rig sounded SO much bigger than it ever has. The active crossover in it puts the mids and highs to ur 4x12, and the bass is handled by the sub, and that thing NEVER farts out. It can get boomy, but thats where the EQing on your end comes in. I couldn't believe how great it sounded, it really did sound like he was plugged into a wall of 4x12's.

If you can find one, GRAB IT! They are great! anyone know how you would use it live though? micing etc?

I have been using one for nearly 2 years now,i never play without it! massive sound! when i need to mic the guitar for medium sized gigs i just mic the guitar cab,the sub still comes through. For a big gig i would mic the sub also and mix them, mind you i have not tried that yet.My rig sounds really good and the ISP is a keeper!!

awesome! My buddy says his is the "lukather" model, but upon reading, the lukather is a 1x15, and he says his a 1x12? He says the lukathere is vinyled in on it though, so who knows. Either way, it sounds great. Really makes the guitar swirl and sound 3d. The Seperation between the lows and the highs is GREAT, sounds fantastic. You were referring to big gigs vs small gigs...what do you consider small vs large? just to get an idea of when I would need to mic it possibly if I ever got one....which I am DEFINITELY contemplating now :D

Ive played a quite few 300/400 people gigs without putting a mic on the sub with no problems, the louder you play the less you can hear the sub but you soon notice if you turn it off!! For lower volumes the sub really does give you a wall of sound,i even use it at home,it just sounds so good! Mine is the 1x12 version also, its all you'll ever need. There is a level control on the sub so you can dial it in just as you like it. :)

$150? awesome deal!! i wish more people would try the isp subs and see what we are talking about. so many people think that the subs walk all over the bass guitar, not really understanding what it does.

i have two of the lukather 15inch 600 watt models. love them more than most of my guitars. paid dealer cost for the first one, then scored the second from diezilduder for $600 and picked it up when i got a run going though his area. few things have lived up to my expectations like the isp vector sub.
