Lol... "Never used by AJ Vallejo."
I remember there was a standard red Vandy on eBay forever, trying to fetch $5000 cuz it belonged to some AJ Vallejo. Who the f was that?

This is a beautiful guit.

I'm glad I bought my pink Vandy when I did- around 2003, near mint for under $400.

I have no idea Al is either?
But thats a good price on a Neck thru Vandy Custom.
My 1st "real" guitar was a red Vandenberg. Bought it brand new at a local music shop back in 1990.
Up till then I was playing knock offs and beaters.... :D

That's a beauty. How come you haven't pulled the trigger on it yet? Vandenberg necks play so fast and smooth.

Yeah they didnt make too many neck thrus on these guitars.
I am all set guitar wise.
But if some one was looking for a great USA custom guitar that dont cost a shit load of money....
this is the one. ;)

Nitro IIIs of this vintage as still my go-to for rock. Fantastic feel and bang for the buck.

Yeah I had a few of them as well. Was getting them for less then $200 back in the 90's....freaking STEAL for a nice USA made guitar.
Just never digged the Kahlers.

Yeah, I hear ya there. Lots of folks don't like the 2700 system, but it never bothered me. One other bad thing about them is they have a design flaw where the bridge pivot posts are too close to the pickup route and the vast majority have cracked (on the low E side) under tension. So if you're ever tempted to grab one, beware.
