Delay pedal delima. Need advice

So I sold my G major and all my rack stuff and built a simple pedalboard. Im using a Line6 DL4 and like the fact that it has 3 banks/patches for 3 different delay sounds...which I use all three.

Problem with the DL4 is that id HUGE! I need more space on my board so I just bought a TC Flashback but am worried about needing my slapback delay for my main rhythm playing and a long delay for slow solos or big chords

Do I need to buy another Flashback and set each to get these two sounds? Even with two of those it will still take up less space then the DL4

Am I thinking way to into this? :confused:
 
Get an alter ego for the 2nd one the echo rec is killer.
 
I just did the exact same thing. I used 5 different delay settings with my g major 2. Rhythm, solo, spill, fixed (gilmour type) swell. I bought 2 flashbacks for rhythm and solo. I A/B between them using rapid fire. I had to give up a few things but it works Great

I have a g-Sharp i want to condense into pedals - but i cannot find the same thing that will give me delay/verb like the g-sharp :doh:

Gmajor has been gone for a while. I kinda used it as an attenuator with the levels to squash some sound, but it was actually squashing tone. The delays were really nice but running the DL4 really didnt suck all that tone the Gmajor was doing. Its a great delay pedal imo, its just so massive and I need to make room for two more pedals on my board. By replacing it with two flashbacks I can do this

Does anyone know if the flashback does spillover?

my g-sharp if perfect for me... just still want to find something in pedal form

yeah right :no: Tell my wife that :aww: ;) :D

Srsly though, the DL4 works great for what I use it for, I just need to add a couple pedals and there isnt the room on my board
 
That's always been the problem with delay pedals on the board.. it seems as if you need at least 2 of them.. one for the long delays in solos and the other for more of a slap back in rythms. Then if you are into that U2 crazy Edge shit, you'd almost need a 3rd. I also have a Gmajor2 right now and have been thinking i want to simplify because i prefer tweaking at my feet.. however from a savings perspective, the 300$ I spent on this will go a lot further than the $$$ I spend on a delays.. then some verb etc...
