What are you guys using for fx processors?

I am looking for a unit that will give me a short delay (240ms) and a bit of reverb, preferably with a noise gate.

I had mixed results with a Rocktron Intellifex.

I have been looking at vintage Lexicon and Digitech units. I am assuming there are better processors now days? However I don't know.

Suggestions?

I use a Way Huge Aqua Puss analog delay in front of the amp and the Hermida Reverb. Don't use a gate.

The Boss Reverb/Delay is a very good unit. I've heard a couple of people say they actually prefer the delay tones to that of the Boss DD series.

I'm not using one currently but I plan on picking up a DD-2 simply because the tones are more preferable than that of the later Boss Delays, feature wise, I'm not too fussed, but for a short delay that would be my reccomendation.

I can't remember but I think I've been told that the earlier Boss Delays don't have as long a delay time but I guess if you're after 240ms then that's cool.

TC Nova system works well for me. Very transparent and plenty of programmable options.

I used a Intellifex from 96' to 06' then in 07' went to a TC G-Major, GCX loop switcher and a Ground Control unit. I got tired of carrying a rack and a floorcontroller so I ditched the rack setup and switched to a TC G-System. Love it. If I went back to a rack setup I'd probbaly go with a TC G-Force.

hardwire DL-8 and a lin6 verbzilla nice ambient tone.

Thought I'd revisit this thread.. what about LINE level affordable rack units or pedals. What are you guys using? Just found out the Randall stuff is basically all line level so I am screwed with my DD3 and digiverb. Looking for some cost effective alternatives.

I use rocktron replifex and intellifex.
I have both of those units in my "retired" rack system...they still hold up today and are great together. I may actually intergrate the Intellifex into my new rig.

My current rig has racked pedals...using a DD-5 for clean delays and just ordered a Strymon El Capistan for tape delay emulation.

I've never used much reverb beyond the spring units on some of my amps. I've heard good things about Strymon's reverb pedal but I've never used it.

i have a TC G Sharp rack unit that does Reverb and Delay great with alot of options on it.
I rarely use it but when I do it sounds great.

I guess that is because you guys have efx loops that can handle instrument levels.. I am forced to make the move to line level. The G major 2 still is 500$. All I really need is delay and maybe some verb.

the tc nova repeater is an incredible unit... I like it better than the more expensive nova delay..

It's kill dry function, line , pedal level output and better modulation basically make it a tiny , great sounding rack unit in a stomp box form..

if you don't need presets it's a great way to go!
