I was one of the biggest critics of this amp when I first had it, because mine used to make this terrible squealing sound. I finally moved it out, though I remember when the guy who bought it was trying it out, I was thinking, "Damn. Maybe I should have given it more time."
Anyway, it was sold and that was that.
I have been looking for a 5150 or 6505 or something to go with my other amps though, and recently saw another Victory Kraken for sale at a super low price. Figured I'd buy it and if it sucked, I would just flip it for a profit.
I don't think I will though. Listen to this thing. I used my ESP E-II Mille Petrozza signature guitar into a Victory Kraken amplifier. As always, the amp was connected to an Orange 2x12 and Mesa 2x12 with Celestion V30s. The Orange was miced with a Sennheiser E906 and I have a Townsend Labs Sphere as a room microphone.
Wow, I am super happy with it. It's small enough to be a grab and go rig. Super punchy and has some real balls, imho of course.
