While that is true, statistically gay people do not live as long, have higher rates of domestic violence, suicide, drug abuse, and alcoholism. All the risk taxes are assessed based on statistics, not what is possible. The same could be said for lifelong bachelors, they do not live as long or as healthy lives.

Statistically motorcyclists are more likely to engage in high risk behaviors.

I don't believe in taxing people based around a personal misgiving, weakness, or choice of behavior. I don't vote because I don't like the idea of subjecting others to my political will, because I do not appreciate others who attempt to subject me to theirs. It doesn't seem Christ-like or loving to use force of will to gain compliance on stuff that ultimately mostly affects only the person engaging in it.

I tend to think most of us hurt ourselves far more than we hurt others. But, I'm not naive, either.
