Whats up guys? I have a question. Today, I went to a local music store, Bananas At Large, in San Rafael, thats in Marin County, California. I was looking at some of their used gear, and there was an old JCM800 in good condition and I got closer, and it said it was modded by Diaz?? I was in a hurry so I did not have time to plug in and check it out. One of the employees said it absolutely destroys and slays all other modded Marshalls. It had a gain and presence added on the rear. and many of the controls are now push/pull also. I wish I could have plugged in, I am hoping to get back and hear it. The price seems ridiculously high, they are asking $3500!!!!!!!!! They get used gear from Schon frequently, and normally all the nice used amps are from him. But today, the employee was hinting that the Diaz modded Marshall came from Satriani.I don't know if it came from him, they could be throwing his name around trying to get that high price for it. Anyone know anything about Diaz mods? I wonder if it is the same guy whom used to mod fenders, maybe even SRV's fenders? thanks in advance!!

can't be that bad ass if satriani got rid of it in favour of his signature peavy and marshalls ??

haven't heard much about Diaz either .. hopefully someone knows more.

I was going to post the same thing but remembered Jose's brother was Jose B

There was a Diaz modded Marshall on eBay not long ago supposedly owned by satriani. It also was $3500. Dias was more known for his fender tweaks for many famous players like srv and I believe Keith Richards at one time. Diaz also had his own line of amps and pedals. Cesar Diaz is now deceased.

You used to see a lot of Cesar Diaz amps/mods around northern CA back in the day, he passed about 12 years ago IIRC. He was SRV and Clapton's amp tech for a while and Bob Dylan's guitarist before that. Made some great sounding amps.
