Recieved the pedal yesterday, and had my sony actioncam handy to film the unboxing and the first impression demo.
I put it in the FX return of my '93 Mesa Triple Rectifier rev F into a Mesa Roadking 4x12. Sounded instantly absolutely crushing in the room, typical Diezel sound without effort.

I noticed a huge difference in sound when switching from the clean channel to the red channel. Very weird, I thought it wouldn't make any difference since it's in the FX return and bypasses the pre amps. Weird. Sounded great thru both though.

Fully mic'd demo coming up, also comparing the pedal to the Mesa Triple Rectifier.

:D ;)

Goddamn that thing sounds mean. Probably the first pedal I've heard that just sounds like an amp to me.
I wonder how this would sound in the low input of one of my marshalls.? Not gonna install a loop anytime soon.(although there is a Mesa strategy 400 at my local GC)

I Briefly put it in front of the Mesa's clean(ish) channel but didn't really liked it. Fiddled a couple of minutes with it but put it back in the loop. Haven't had the time to really figure it out in the front of the amp, but I'm sure with a little tweaking it sounds just as good in front as it does in the loop.

But yeah, this pedal is by far the best distortion/overdrive pedal I've ever heard. It really FEELS like a proper tube amp!

Can you run these guys in the loop more like another channel? I mean can I turn it on bypass my preamp, then turn it off and have my amps preamp come back on with the switch?

No it doesn't work like that unfortunately. But I suppose if you can footswitch the loop on and of you get the same result as you asked.
This weekend I'm back home again and have some time to play with it, I'll figure it out and keep you posted ;)

Agreed.. so far to me and from the soundclips I have heard, this pedal sounds most like the amp compared to all the other offerings out there that are supposed to do the same thing. (including Friedman which I totally think missed the mark)
