Did some speaker rollin' with dad...(Tone Tubby content)

So, dad got a Roadster. Also snagged an Earcandy Buzzbomb with a Ceramic 40/40 and an Alnico Red Tone Tubby, the H-bomb setup.

Well, I got to run my Bivalve through the Red in a Rivera TAC-112...

Oh my God. I'm in love. Most natural, perfect guitar sound I've heard.

I rarely see dad get possessive about material things, but when he played cleans through the Roadster (JJ 6v6 outside, EL-84's in YJ's inside) and the TAC, he wouldn't let me take the 40/40 in the other TAC to 'speriment. lol

Gosh dang, I never expected hemp cones to be the bee's knees. I'm floored!

my first exposure to t.t.s was at namm and got to demo the red and green hemps

green was a refined v30 and red a variant of jensen p12n both of which i spent much time with

i prefer the green to a real v30 and the red is similar to the jensen reissue with a bit more sweetness

hempcones primarily cut it for clean and crunch tones. They can be a bit weird sounding for high gain applications.

Yeah, I was thinking that metal might want another speaker, but for harmonic/organic/haunting/toanzfreak sonic bliss these things are where it's at.
