Hey Boogie1, I have a Mesa Triple Rectifier head and used the cable for its footswitch now on my Diezel VH4. Its a 7-Pin Din cable.
Here is the link, and if your music store doesnt carry it, you can always have them order it for you. With this cable, it will supply power to your midi controller without needing an A/C plugas well.
You can also use a 5-pin DIN cable, but make sure its a 5-Pin ACTIVE cable, this way it will supply power to your midi controller and you wont need an A/C plug, or you can use a 5-Pin DIN cable with an exra wire that connects to your power on your midi controller like in the link below. (From the company Rockron.) They also have the 7 Pin DIN cable as well. If I were you, I would just go with the 7-Pin, one less thing to connect.
