Hi!
Here's another Diezel vid that i shot while visiting a local music store.
I forgot to use the mid cut, but well, it cuts the mids :)

Cheers!

Directly compared to an Engl Fireball 100 it sounds pretty thick :) lol

I don't find that hard to believe. My Fireball was pretty awesome but I would never refer to it as thick or full sounding.

I think everything sounds mean in that tuning :)

...honestly sounds great though... will definitely probably end up with one of the non-metal faceplate ones in the future once a couple hit the used market...

The DM is a beasty boy. Diezel grunt and growl is unmistakeable. As for the mid-cut, I run it across all 3 channels with a front loaded Diezel 412.

The Fireball 100 is a pretty thick (full) sounding amp... The Fireball 60 is not.. Which one did you own ?

Sounds damn good.

Unfortunately i'm not a Diezel owner and haven't played one before (sad I know), so would the Diezel players say it's like the VH4 or Herbert or is this in it's own catagory? Just curious, sounds very mean.

It's more Herbert than VH4. Just a trimmed down version where channel 2/3 share an EQ. Both have their own gain/master though. Mid-cut is now MIDI controlled and across all 3 channels. 4 power tubes as opposed to 6 on the Herbie. Built with the same trannies as in the Herbie. Has a really nice, tracking bottom end and some nice layer tones going on. Einstein sized box.....

I think it's the best amp out of the 4 (herbert, vh4, hagen, dmoll) that i tested (at least with a drop tuning). All sound like Diezel.
Will put clips of the herbert and vh4 online.
I watch some Diezel on ebay right now (dmoll appearing there already) but what holds me back a little is the "delayed" bass, after the picking...if you know what i mean...?

Sounds great. Thanks for the post. Next year Peter will come out with another must have...

Thanks! What kind of "must have" ??? I'm very interested!

I bought one accidentally two minutes ago, on ebay.... ups :)

That's exactly what i thought, half an hour ago, while i was watching the VH4 vid after the upload :)
