Is this the preamp out or the speaker out? I tracked a full album with an Einstein, direct out of the speaker out through a DI and with Redwirez impulses, the results were excellent.

It is the preamp out.
I don't know why but the Ownhammer impulses lose some midrange clarity when plugged to the speaker out through dummy load.
I like the impulses from Redwirez and Ownhammer but I'm still to find the ones that fully convince me.

Gimme a shove cause I'm digging it!! I have a 100 watt Einstein and I love it! Tasty solo's on the second track my friend. The outtro is legit too. Keep it up ProgFreak. I play the same style of stuff with mine.

Great tones here!

I've tried a lot (and I mean A LOT) of Impulses.

These are the ones that I really liked from Redwirez:

1. Clean Dark Jazzy Tones (Neck Pickup):

Fender Twin D120 - Royer R121 - Cap 2in

Heavy Rhythm 1 (Darker):

40% - Mesa 4x12 V30 Shure SM57 CapEdge 2 in
60& - Mesa 4x12 V30 Royer R121 Cap 2 in

Heavy Rhythm 2 (Brighter):

50% - Mesa 4x12 V30 Sennheiser 421 - Cap 0 In
50% - Mesa 4x12 V30 Shure SM 57 - Cap 0 In

Smooth Lead:

Mesa 4x12 v30 - Neumann u87 - Cap 2 in

Then I usually put an EQ for filtering the extreme bands:

18db/oct Low Cut filter at around 80-120 HZ
18db/oct High Cut Filter at around 7000-12000 KHZ depending on the track (there is really not so much in this area)

Let me know if you find these useful!

Thanks!

Gave today a try to these Redwirez recipes. Nice impulse combinations. Your recipes work wonders with the Einstein. Sure they will be useful
Thanks for the tips! ;)
