Beautiful amp. Will listen tomorrow when I can.
I had a VH4S many many years ago with that faceplate. The amp sounded best when it was up rather loud but it sounded glorious when it was.

I hated how much I liked it haha- definitely the most expensive and rarest amp on my wishlist and it’s probably the one I’d like the most at this point

What cab did you play it through? I'm surprised you ran presence that high without it getting shrill although as we know Peter wires it as a high shelf around 5khz-ish... were the old bluefaces that dark really?

Old Blueface spec VH4s really are that dark. Here’s how I run mine for an old 90s Mesa V30 recto cab.What cab did you play it through? I'm surprised you ran presence that high without it getting shrill although as we know Peter wires it as a high shelf around 5khz-ish... were the old bluefaces that dark really?
