Fuck me man, I need to start playing more metal again, my right hand is rusty as fuck, and my riffing creativity has gone down the drain!

The amp is mic'd with a single SM57, which I normally don't like because of the harshness, but fuck it, I didn't wanna hook up the 421.

I thought you sold your Diezel VH4? Did you end up picking up another one?

Play along to some Slayer & Fear Factory, that'll get that right hand back into shape ;)

I was trying to a year ago, but didn't sell so I kept it, Retubed it and now I'm in love with it (for some reason the Ruby HG+ improved the clean channel INCREDIBLY, it sounds quite fendery now actually)

Nice stuff man!!
Dont get rid of the VH4....probably....no...it IS.... :D
THE BEST AMP OUT THERE!

Saving my pennies for my next one. ;)

Right on! Nice video BTW.

I know I shouldn't judge an amp by a video but everything I've heard from the VH4 just doesn't do it for me. Great amps, just might not be for me, but I won't fully judge until I play one myself.

Honestly. For me. It's all about how the vh4 stands in a band mix. Never get lost again. Play a VH4.
good point

exactly, the VH4 is one of those amps that on it's own it's a taste thing because of it's unique "in your face" mids. But once in a band mix its the tits

Sounds cool, but a little ducky/quacky sounding.

ducky/quacky? my playing here sounds like shit! hahaha I haven't played metal in SO LONG and the guitar was tuned 1 step down so the strings were a little bit looser than I'm used to. but thanks for listening!

Yeah sorry, didn't mean to offend. I do hear a squawk or quacking sound. Not sure why, maybe a combination of your attack with the mic position/room reflection? I don't now...just ignore me I may be the only one hearing it. :loco:

Nice vid man! Vh4 is my dream boat
I think the sound you are hearing is the pick scraping the 6th string.
Amp sounds tight to me :)
Nice style too

Nice work sir!

I have to agree-I think the VH4 may just be the best amp out there.
