I am thinking of getting one of these two amps and would like to know how they compare. I am leaning towards the Colossus due to the fact that its midi programmable and it seems to have better lower gain channels.

But I would like to know how the two amps high gain channels compare and if the Colossus is dry like the Diezel.

VH4 is better as well and mine might be for sale pretty soon and we can talk price if you want. ONLY reason I'm considering selling is because I want my original back. I prefer the black head shell and this is white. My other one was a little more low mid heavy. The one I have is great too but the other had a special place in my heart because of the little sound diff and the serial number means a little to me. Hahaha the one I have is literally the next serial number up. 2013 year. Would depend if the guys wants to sell mine back he is giving it a week to think over right now. But I have a good one if you want to go that way!

I guess I can always get both lol. I'm just thinking hard on this right now since I found a used VH4 for sell for around 2.5k

Pretty sure the colossus is midi progammable.

*edit: I have a Gemini and it is midi programmable...also, it sounds fantastic. There is no "better" or "worse" when you get to this level of amp. Just pick one, you'll be happy-and if not sell it and buy the other one.

Also, KSR amps are made in the US. I'm not sure who does Diezel repairs here.

I have to say I love the Rhodes a bit more from those clips but I love both. I think I'm going to pull the trigger on the VH4 and get a KSR in a year or so.

Right on! Like I said, either way, I think you'll be happy.

I picked the KSR (Rhodes) over the Diezel, but ended up ordering an Artemis instead of the Colossus.

The Colossus can definitely be as dry as the Diezel. In my experience with both, the Colossus was clearer than the Diezel. Could be a multitude of factors involved with that, but I think both amps (and the guys who make both amps) are fantastic.
