Looking at MXR phase 90, script 90, and EVH phaser.
Anyone familiar with these and the differences?

I highly recommend you check out the whirlwind orange box. I had an evh phase 90 and found the orange box smoother, the evh added its own grit to the sound, which was kind of cool, but I prefer the orange box, its true bypass too, the evh phase 90 bypass would affect the bypassed tone in a way I didn't like.

Those are all pathetic. The only way you can stun someone with them is if you throw it at their head. None of them will disintegrate an opponent.

I've had a # of phasers over the years & recently bought this one. I know you didn't ask for recommendations, but this is a pretty killer phaser. My favorite for sure.

Stay away from block MXR phaser , phase is too thick and over powering. Go script logo or EVH.Keep it simple.

Not quite. I've never even heard of bucket brigade chips used in a phaser - what a waste of a chip.

The difference between the script and the block is the amount of feedback applied to the the phase stages. The evh has a switch to change from script to block specs. They're all the exact same circuit with a one resistor value difference.

Out of what you listed I would second the vote for avoiding the block and using either a script or EVH. However I'd also second blackba's vote for the Whirlwind- replaced the longtime EVH on my board- a smoother, more classic phase, designed by former MXR guys.

Another Psilocybe fan here. It's the first phaser that kicked my old MXR box off the board. It nails the coveted script sound and does a whole lot more...highly recommended.

Completely correct - I was coming back to this thread this morning to recall the fact I'd f*cked up with the notion of BBD in a phaser - wrong pedal - that's FLANGER, Mo.... FLANGER!!!!! Anyway - apologies - too quick to type, too slow to think

On the point of Phasers, here's a beaut!!
