Digitech GSP 1101 1/4 in footswitch commands?

I have no problem using my GSP 1101 to switch channels via midi commands on my amp, but I'm considering buying a new amp that uses a 1/4 in footswitch jack for channel switching. Does anyone know if the GSP 1101 is capable of sending such commands so I dont have to add an additional footswitch to my rig? From my understanding, the footswitch jack on the GSP is purposed for the Digitech footswitch for bypass and bank switching, but is it capable of sending commands so I can keep my rig integrated? Any help would be appreciated.

I've only just got mine, but if you haven't already I recommed reading the instructions for it. Really helpful in every aspect of the unit.
