I've been using one since last December. It's simplified my setup and it sounds great...VERY easy to use because of the iPad interface. I wouldn't say go out and buy an iPad so you can get one but if you already own an iPad, I recommend it.
That I do sir! I've been researching pretty much every MFX unit under the sun for the past month and this was the first one I saw that I actually drooled a little bit. I love how you can bypass the amp modeling in the unit and use your own preamp and the unit just for effects. Plus the simplicity of changing effects/amps/parameters. This is the most awesome thing ever made! I've been reading a lot about them and old reviews. It didn't take well at all apparently. The demos on youtube are wonderful though. I do have a question though that I can't find anywhere. How do you bypass the cabinet modeling? I'm assuming you make a preset that doesn't have a cab model? Thanks!
I believe you will still see the cabinet and amp in the display but it can be set to not be active. I can't think of how off the top of my head. I don't have my board with me at the moment and I haven't edited anything in awhile since I have all my tones/sounds set.
