I'm curious about this pickup...

Supposed to sound pretty neat but I've heard it can get lost in the mix.

It would be going in a basswood body

I liked mine when I used it. It was a little scooped, but it sounded awesome with my Mark III. I've never heard about it getting lost in the mix. This is basically the six string version of the bridge pickup that the UVs have, BTW.

Hello there.
I have Steve's special in Ibanez PGM30 (basswood). I like that pup because it hasn't screaming trebles like most hi output pups. Also if you like early Petrucci sound, Steve's special is the best pup fur you. I'm playing it throught Mesa Dual rectifier Maverick and it seems that Mesa amps really like this pup.
