I figured this might help with understanding the Minis ability for cleans in the higher gain mode and the overall amount of gain. Amps master volume around 2-3, Guitar is Les Paul 59RI with Friedman 4x12. Only effects are delay and reverb in amp loop. In the 8min video I do use a HBE Detox EQ a couple times for some bluesy tones at end of video, but 90% of the clean tones is rolling guitar volume back. A Strat with single coils can produce more pristine clean with hardly any hair with gain switch in middle (lowest gain mode), but you can still get usable cleans with a Les Paul, depending on your taste. 80% of the gain tones in videos are with "gain structure switch" on high, gain knob around 4-6 and thats where I'm mostly playing around. The amp is real easy to control, has great feel and punch, amazing dynamics, and has sounded great with any guitar.

So you can see that the amp can still produce decent cleans even at decent volume (small clubs) in the high-gain mode. Friedman did use (or mod) the amp with all Synergy Royal Mustard (SoZo) caps instead of the stock Mallory 150's, so in lower gain settings it's more vintage/sweeter sounding. Maybe I'll post some more vintage and blues tones later, but had a few requests to post some clips of the Mini DS, so just used the iPhone 6S for now, but I feel it give a pretty good representation of the rock tones and volume cleanup of the amp.

That does sound good. I have a PT but I have to admit I have some Dirty Shirley envy. ;)

It does sound good with that cab. Thanks for sharing!
