Figured I’d show off a pedal board I built knowing absolutely nothing about building one lol.

I’m all about saving a dollar and diy and I’m just now getting into pedals so figured I’d build my first pedal board. I got the planks from Home Depot for 12 dollars. I already had a deck board I made the sides out of. I used finishing nails to nail the planks to the sides because I didn’t want screw heads showing. I then routed the edges of it all round. I also already had the stain so all in I only spent about 12 dollars on this project. I do have some things I would of done a bit different if I done it again but all in I am happy with the outcome.

Share some of your diy projects maybe we can all get ideas from one another to build some cool stuff. By the way I am no carpenter my day job is an auto mechanic so I am definetely out of my zone on this kinda stuff.

Looks solid. Check out the Schmidt Array stuff if you want some ideas of additional functionality you could build out

Will check it out. As I get more pedals I plan on expanding and building more to fit my needs. I just wanted something kind of small and transportable for now.

Handles and a built in power supply would definitely be a big upgrade.

I really like pedalboards that have the inputs and outputs built into it also, especially if I'm using the 4 cable method.

nice. I had something like that using an Ikea shelf, not sure if they still make them?
No idea, my original plan was to actually build out a suitcase style pedal board to make it super portable but couldn’t find a suit case to build it in before I got too impatient and built this. Maybe in the future I can change it up

Yeah could see that being super useful. Will have to check out some higher end pedal boards to get some ideas if I ever build another

West Coast Pedalboards is the most common (at least from what I've run into) company that makes really nice wooden boards that have a bunch of tolex and IO options. I definitely second a patchbay or some sort if you're running 4-cable-method.

Great job dude. Love it. I have a gun case I’m going to convert to a travel pedal board. I will never use it but it will be there if needed….

I visited Creation music in Oklahoma last year. They make some super nice pedal boards! Maybe use some ideas off their site.

Nice. I missed this Thread.. I just did a search and found it.. :giggle:
Nice skills. I'm thinking about doing something like this but not sure how.
I was thinking along the lines of a Rack Case with a detachable Top and a Carry Handle..
Cost of materials will decide.

Just saw this but yeah it’s not that hard at all! My original plan was to do it in a suit case or something as well but was wanting to find a cheap used one. I got in hurry and just went ahead and built one anyways.

Just go for it and then you can see what you woulda done different for the next one
