DLR Show- So much better than the Hagar/ VH show

@Stradazone Any plans on a possible cut or two from Eat ‘em and Smile?
Would like to put out into the universe for Hang ‘em High or Romeo’s Delight to make it in as well as I’ll Wait, so the keyboard guy will have more to do 😃

Romeo was played, I'll Wait will most likely be on the tour, Hang Em High 50/50 chance, Sorry but none of the Eat 'em and Smile songs stand up to any VH songs, so highly unlikely

Gear was a dimed Marshall SLP on a variac into Reactive load box and re-amped into 2 JCM800 effects returns, each head powering 2 cabs on each side of stage, it's very loud! haha

Thanks for all the positive comments, hope to see some of you on the upcoming tour!

What kind of pickups are you using? Is that a Charvel?

A Marshall plexi ran into a load box and slaved to more Marshall heads driving the cabs...........:rock:Still sounds great in 2025, could've been 1978 all over again Al regarding the amp tone..............:2thumbsup:

Great tone and playing Mr Estrada, I always enjoy your interpretations of Edward....it is so correct.........you do his talent justice every time!

Are you using a Suhr reactive load or something with more wattage capability like 300 to 400 watts?

What speakers are you running in the cabinets?

Yes Suhr Reactive Load, Speakers are 2 Greenbacks on top and 2 Vintage 30's on bottom of each cab, only the Greenbacks get mic'd

It sounds like when my 87 year old mother-in-law sings along during mass, gawd that awful.

Stop shitting on Al's gig.

I agree the backup singers need to go but have you seen Ratt or Crue lately?

Hope the tour goes well. If he makes it to the Carolinas Ill try to catch the show.

Welcome to 1983............................:p
Dave was a passable vocalist in 1983. Clearly. He probably wouldn’t be nearly as horrible as he is now if he would stay in his range. Every time he reaches for a high note I’m embarrassed for him. And I say that as a guy who is a big fan of Van Halen and can barely tolerate Van Hagar.

this would be the final fellow in the top 3 VH tone and style perfectionists to join the ranks of Al and Jim

and after all the decades of chasing, there’s all just cranking marshalls🥳

Great tone, great playing--there is a reason you get so much love here. Cheers!

Dude has sold 70 million albums--10 + million as a solo artist. And he's 70yrs old--how old are you? What cool things do you do? I'm 56 and I play rockstar a dozen or so times a year for a couple bucks and drinks. And I love it. DLR is a legend.

Guy is having fun doing what we all talk about doing in the twilight of his life. He made a much bigger mark than any of us have.
