Just curious what everyone thinks about the actual need for this is.

Please chime in with your vote Yes or No ...

I will gladly start and say ....HELL NO , but that's just my opinion what the hell do i know

Please voice yours .

I say keep it and and also add the Fortin forum as well......

All things Cameron keeps rig-talk interesting. :D

I think the Cameron forum should be suspended until he can sort the issues with his business...I'm sure Mark (and co) don't need the distractions anyway.

All the while it's there, RT is effectively perpetuating the scam.

Just my opinion and I don't have a dog in the hunt.

Probably not. …but we might as well get rid of Laboga Amp forum and Trailer Trash forums as well. Neither of which have had posts since March or April. At least the Cameron forum has action and people have their amps. Who has a Laboga amp?

Except the latter two companies haven't made a good, firm reputation for screwing customers. Besides that, a lot of people do NOT have their amps, nor emails, PMs, phone calls, etc. I don't object to the fact that Trailer Trash and Laboga have quiet forums, that's cool, smaller companies generate less chatter...I just think its crappy to be associated with a company with such shady business practices. The Cameron forum is pretty much a forum where people make production promises which aren't kept, and customers go to bitch about amp deadlines which have been missed months ago.

I think that it's important to have the forum so that I can keep customers in touch with Mark and Vice Versa. If you don't like the content then don't look. There are many people out there with mods and amps that may need info or have questions, i'd like to be able to continue to converse like normal grown ups in that regard.

Plus what fun would Rig Talk be without guys taking cheap shots at me ?

I go to the forum to discuss my Cameron amps. I have no personal problems with Mark. I didnt realize that Cameron slighted you and you personally have money or an amp tied up with him.

Not sure about Joey being screwed with Cameron , But I certainly don't need to rehash all the bullshit I went through with my order , my deposit of 1200.00 which they kept for over a year , false promises , Terrible comunication ,Lies Lies, Lies .....

AHHH... wait a minute I guess I just did didn't I
:aww:

I am all for a Fortin myself ....
But I see that as a very different issue.

Myself I would like to see the Cameron thing come to life so the rest of us have more choices of tones to take from. It would be good for many. Even on a spiritual level. He has made a lot of ears happy. The soap opera is a bit silly.

This place is in no way a Democracy. It is a Monarchy and we are lucky it is a good one.

Dear God yes we need to keep it - it's comedy gold! Gold Jerry, gold!!

On a serious note - if you remove the forum you remove the ability for anyone who has an outstanding issue to voice their concerns where other Cameron customers will see them. It might not seem like much, but if I had something to bitch about I'd rather do it on the company's own forum, instead of any random gear forum, most of whom frown on those types of threads anyway.

I have zero money at stake, have never been screwed by him, and never had any of his amps, which means I'm a fair bit more impartial than a lot of folks. I object to people getting taken for their money, whether they had zero idea or just a slight inclination that things may not be right with Cameron. I work my ass off for my money, as I'm sure a lot of people do, and someone walking away with your money or amp with no real impetus to get it back to you is criminal. Furthermore a lot of these people hear nothing back in regards to the status of their amps whether they inquire by PM, email, or phone, but as soon as the layout for a mod is out in the open, JB hears about it quick fast and in a hurry.

In short, that's shady business. I think it sucks. I didn't know that I needed to have been personally invested with either cash or an amp at his house before I thought it sucks.

Yes , I guess you were , but I did score a CCV from Josh , but after a few months sold it .

It was a Cool amp , but i thought some of the Cameron Marshall mods I owned were better .

:hys: they should be able to get in touch with him anyways, that's the whole friggin' point. They should know more about their own property than you Nick.

Ok you got it ! Your right dude!!!!!! from now on everyone is on there own then! How does that sound? You think that make things better? make people happier???... then so be it !

Your the one who Fucking deleates the threads not me !

And when the hell did I say I had the answers to the whole Cameron fiassco ?

As someone who doesn't give a shit either way, it seems like a waste of space but I understand the perspective of keeping it for entertainment value. I just don't like seeing a great forum associated with a not so great company. If they were to become a truly viable operation, then I could see its value.
