hey guys,
I noticed that the ESP/LTD lineup of Lespaul shape guitars is getting thinner and thinner. Do they still make a model thats a full body LP shape?

Thanks

ESP has a "Full Thickness" Eclipse, but they're not sold in the US. You could probably get one from overseas or eBay though.

Maybe if you can get an Edwards, which is made by ESP?

The full-bodied LP body style by ESP is called the CTM 1 I believe. As stated before, it is only available overseas. You can pick one up on eBay as I usually see them on there now quite frequently.

The dude selling it is a good seller, i sold him a uberschall and i have known of him for a long time.

Wondering if those sound anything like Gibson LPCs?

I'd imagine they don't, unless possibly you'd put some Gibson pickups in them. Not saying they won't sound good or anything, but ESP stuff really doesn't feel anything like Gibson stuff and they seem to be pretty different IMO. I actually have an Eclipse on the way and I expect it to sound good, but not like a Gibby.

Get an Edwards ;)

If you want something that sounds like a Gibson for a lower price, get a Burny. The old Japanese models are heavy as hell, Gibson shape/thickness, and sound almost as good.

LTD has the EC-400VF (EC-401VF for 2009), which is a full thickness EC model. They are pretty good geets for the money.

Doubtful. The ESPs sound good but they don't sound like Gibsons. Burny would probably be your best bet for less cash.

You want a model before mid 80's but their almost as expensive as a gibson.

The newer ones are ok but I prefered the edwards.

You can get an 80's Burny for $600 on eBay. I much prefer them over Edwards LP's.

I played both in a few stores and both are great, I guess I just prefered the Edwards for feel and pickups.

I also love Yamaha studio lord guitars.... If you can find one.

The Edwards i just bought from nbarts plays, sounds and feels great. I've not played a Gibson that can justify the price being 4-5 times the Edwards. I've also played a ton of Japanese LP copies and the Edwards is the best, tone wise, that I have played.

Which Edwards did you play? I'm considering getting the Goldtop one. Is it pretty close to a Gibson?
